Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV)

A refresh of the building façade with the BIPV technology will be applied to the building, and that will be the first full envelope BIPV project in Hong Kong. Reduce carbon footprint by generating solar electricity which could connect to the grid. For the Bauhinia Building, BIPV façade system cost is 10-15% higher than the traditional curtain wall systems in return for the 24,271 kwh yearly electricity generation & 17,232 kg yearly carbon reduction in the future.
